IAFN Member Logo

The International Association of Forensic Nurses logo is a trademark and property of IAFN.  This logo is part of the unified, consistent image that represents an organization’s mission and credibility.  One of the valuable benefits of membership to the IAFN is the privilege of authorized use of the association’s logo to convey a member’s relationship with the IAFN.  The purpose of these guidelines is to insure proper use of the IAFN logo by the association’s members.

Policy

Members in good standing are authorized to use the Association’s member logo for the purpose of identifying their membership.  The member logo may not be used in any manner to imply that a member is in any way an agent of the Association or that the Association in any way warrants, approves, or endorses any product or service provided by the member.

Discussion

The member logo can be used on member’s business cards, letterhead, website, and promotional materials.  Any other use of the member logo not specifically enumerated must be approved by the Association.  Individual members are prohibited from allowing their employer to use the member logo on the employer’s letterhead or promotional materials.  Any employee who does so may be subject to legal action.

The member logo must be reproduced from artwork supplied by  the Association.  To protect the integrity of the logo, this artwork may not be altered.

The right to use the member logo shall terminate and be revoked upon the member’s failure to remain in good standing, in the event of misuse by the member as determined by the Association, or any other breach of this Policy for Use.  Upon such termination and/or revocation, the member will eliminate the use of the IAFN member logo from all materials, products, and services, regardless of whether such materials, products, and services are preprinted or pre-existing at that time.  Legal action may be taken against anyone who uses the IAFN member logo in violation of the above policy.
